Osborn, Figurative Painter
 Jacqueline
Osborn is a full time painter who lives and works in the
San Francisco Bay Area. She was born and raised in London,
England and completed her art studies there. She moved to
America and had a long and successful career as an illustrator
on the national scene. Her work has been featured in many
publications. She started painting full time about ten years
ago and is enjoying a very long and successful career.
My
recent series of figurative paintings represent the glimmer
of moments in our past that are just out of reach; elusive
moments that reflect a diversity of situations and human
emotions. These are every day situations—sometime life altering
moments and other times just a whisper of what might yet
be. My paintings are the result of extensive research and
preparation. Sometimes I use my own photography as an aid
for preliminary drawings, but more often I use archival
photography. I love to paint, and I love the story-telling
nature of my work. Like most artists, not only is something
of myself revealed in my work, but it is also a means of
self exploration and discovery.
